These services can be offered in person at a clinic in Cambridge or via video conferencing.
Cambridge Psychiatry Clinic operates from the following two locations:
  • Salus Wellness Clinics, Norman House, Cambridge Place, Cambridge, CB2 1NS
  • Remote consultations via Google Meet
Initial consultation
  • This is only offered remotely via Google Meet.
  • It is to discuss your concerns about your child/yourself and think of the type of assessment needed.
  • A summary letter is sent to you with a brief summary of the discussion and recommendations.
Follow up appointment
  1. Where indicated, follow-up appointments and medication reviews are arranged in discussion with Dr Sardesai. 
  2. These are currently only offered remotely via video consultation.
  3. A clinic letter summarising discussion and recommendations is sent to your GP and copied to you.
  • Please note that the fee for the consultation does not include the cost of medication.
  • In keeping with current guidance, prescriptions can only be issued when there is a further follow up arranged with Dr Sardesai to review impact of medication.
Specialist ADD/ADHD assessments include
  1. Questionnaires and rating scales sent to you for completion- patient, teacher/adult informant, and parents as applicable.​
  2. A developmental history overview  through form and interview.
  3. A specialist computer based assessment for sustained attention, concentration and hyperactivity-Qb check.
  4. Structured interview for ADHD symptoms.
  5. Discussion of outcome and recommendations.
  6. A detailed report is sent to you after completion of assessment to share with GP, education or work place as applicable.
  • Where indicated, medication/treatment appointments can be arranged separately. 
Specialist ASD assessments include:
  1. Questionnaires and rating scales sent to you for completion - patient, parent, teacher/ adult informant as applicable. 
  2. Exploration of development history using ADI-R and/or AAI as appropriate
  3. A structured interaction- ADOS, BOSA, AAI as indicated.
  4. A structured interview for ASD symptoms.
  5. .Discussion of outcome and recommendations.
  6. A detailed report is sent to you after completion of assessment to share with GP, education or work place as applicable.
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry assessment
This is a holistic assessment to diagnose and formulate treatment plan for mental illness e.g., anxiety, depression, OCD, etc. in young people 17 years or younger. It includes:
  1. Relevant questionnaires, rating scales and information forms sent to you for completion- patient, parent and teacher.
  2. Interview with the patient and parent- either online or in-person.
  3. Discussion of outcome and recommendations.
  4. A detailed report is sent to you after completion of assessment to share with GP and school.
  • Where indicated medication/treatment appointments can be arranged separately.
