ADHD/ADD

ADHD is also known as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. I can diagnose and treat all types of ADHD (including ADD) in both children and adults of any age.

Adjustment disorders

Adjustment disorders are a group of symptoms that occur following a stressful event or change in a person's life. They include emotional and behavioural reactions.

Anxiety

Anxiety is an emotion, characterised by feelings of unease, worry, and fear. These feelings can vary from being mild to severe.

Autism (ASD)

Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder, that includes autism spectrum disorder (ASD), autism spectrum condition (ASC), and Asperger syndrome.

Depression

Clinical depression is a disorder characterised by a consistently low mood. Depression has a wide range of symptoms, that can range from being mild to severe.

Dissociative disorders

Dissociative disorders are mental disorders that can cause physical and psychological problems. There are several different types of dissociative disorder.

Dysthymia

Dysthymia is a mental and behavioural disorder. It is similar to depression, though generally describes a chronic form that lasts for a longer period of time.

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)

Obsessive-compulsive disorder is a mental disorder. It is characterised by having certain repeated thoughts or performing repetitive actions.

Panic disorder

Panic disorder is a mental and behavioural disorder. Those that suffer from this disorder often have feelings of extreme anxiety between panic attacks.

Phobias

Phobias are a type of anxiety disorder, characterised by overwhelming fear. There are many different types of phobia, including agoraphobia, social phobia and phobias of a specific object or situation.

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental and behavioural disorder that can develop after exposure to a traumatic event. Sufferers of PTSD often relive the traumatic event repeatedly.

Seasonal affective disorder (SAD)

Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is a mood disorder, which is also known as 'winter depression'. It is characterised by exhibiting depressive symptoms, especially in the winter, and many other symptoms.

Selective mutism

Selective mutism is an anxiety disorder that prevents people from speaking in specific situations, places, or to specific people. If untreated in childhood, this disorder can remain into adulthood.

Sleep disorders

Sleep disorders are medical disorders that affect sleep patterns. These sleeping problems are often called insomnia. I am experienced in diagnosing and treating a range of sleeping problems.

Stress

Stress can cause many different symptoms, including feeling anxious, irritable, sad, or low in self-esteem.
